Happy New Year 2021!

HAPPY NEW YEAR from our team at ERAP Consultant Ecologists Ltd.
Well, we’ve coped with everything that 2020 threw at us!
We’ve also made a number of significant achievements this year such as:
Worked on a new Paragraph 79 house and assisted to ensure the project achieved Biodiversity Net Gain #bng;
Re-visited a number of bat roosts as part of our monitoring of implemented mitigation works (and found new roosts);
Applied the Biodiversity Metric 2.0 Calculation Tool on a number of sites and had our approach commended by a local planning authority;
Got to grips with plants we don’t see often such as arable field species;
Successfully implemented licensed mitigation for a number of protected species namely great crested newt, badger and bat species;
Facilitated negotiations on biodiversity off-setting payments to assist our clients and local biodiversity; and
Fine-tuned our mapping and application of tools such as QGIS and Qfield to assist us in the field.
So what will 2021 bring?
Well so far we can announce that we’ve moved office – we’re now based in Chorley, Lancashire (although for the time being we’re all still typically working from home).
We’ve also committed to becoming officially carbon neutral by the end of the year. 🌍
In addition, as our graduates are progressing and we need more help to keep up with the exciting projects our lovely clients are sending our way, we’re starting a new recruitment process to ensure we get someone in position soon.
